Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vehicle & Machinery Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in Dharashiv. The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of our fleet of vehicles and heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, proven leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to ensuring the reliability and longevity of our assets.Key Responsibilities:Supervision & Team Management:Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of mechanics, technicians, and maintenance staff.Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure efficient utilization of manpower.Conduct regular training and provide guidance to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.Foster a safe, productive, and collaborative work environment.Maintenance & Repair Operations:Plan, schedule, and oversee all preventive maintenance (PM) activities for vehicles (trucks, cars, buses, etc.) and machinery (excavators, loaders, dozers, cranes, generators, plant equipment, etc.).Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.Ensure timely and effective repair of breakdowns, minimizing downtime.Approve repair methodologies and ensure adherence to manufacturer specifications and company standards.Oversee the quality of all maintenance and repair work performed.Safety & Compliance:Implement and enforce all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures within the workshop and maintenance areas.Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols, use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized workspace.Conduct safety briefings and address any unsafe practices or conditions promptly.Ensure compliance with local regulations pertaining to vehicle fitness, pollution control, and industrial safety norms.Inventory & Resource Management:Manage the inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels while optimizing costs.Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of necessary parts and services.Ensure proper use, maintenance, and calibration of all workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.Documentation & Reporting:Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, service histories, and costs for each vehicle/machine.Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, maintenance costs, downtime, and team productivity for management review.Analyze data to identify recurring issues and recommend proactive solutions.Continuous Improvement:Stay updated with the latest advancements in vehicle and machinery technology, maintenance techniques, and safety standards.Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures, equipment, and training programs to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Responsibilities:Supervision & Leadership:Lead, motivate, train, and manage a team of production operators, technicians, and workers on the shop floor.Conduct daily briefings, assign tasks, and ensure clear communication of production targets and instructions.Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability.Production Planning & Execution:Oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules and plans.Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain smooth operations.Coordinate with planning, materials, and other departments to ensure timely availability of resources.Target Achievement:Drive the team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets (quantity, quality, efficiency, cost).Monitor output rates, identify variances, and implement strategies to close performance gaps.Quality Control:Implement and enforce strict quality control measures throughout the production process.Conduct regular in-process and final product quality checks as per established standards.Identify and isolate non-conforming products, initiate root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.Ensure proper documentation of quality records.Safety, Health & Environment (HSE):Strictly enforce all company and statutory safety regulations and procedures on the shop floor.Conduct daily safety briefings, identify potential hazards, and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and adherence to LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.Report and investigate accidents/incidents promptly.Efficiency & Productivity Improvement:Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction (e.g., through 5S, Lean manufacturing principles), and efficiency improvements.Minimize machine downtime, material scrap, and rework.Implement continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:Address and resolve operational issues, machine breakdowns, and production problems promptly.Liaise with the Maintenance team for equipment repair and preventive maintenance schedules.Resource Management:Monitor and manage the consumption of raw materials and consumables on the production line.Ensure proper handling, storage, and inventory of materials and finished goods on the shop floor.Optimize utilization of machinery, tools, and equipment.Reporting & Documentation:Maintain accurate daily production records, shift reports, downtime reports, quality logs, and attendance records.Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports on production output, efficiency, quality, and manpower utilization.Communication (Local Emphasis):Communicate clearly and effectively with the production team, management, and cross-functional departments.Fluency in Marathi and Hindi is essential for effective communication with the workforce on the shop floor. Good English proficiency is required for reporting and interaction with senior management or technical documents.
