The QC Engineer (Civil/MEP) is responsible for ensuring that construction activities comply with technical specifications, standards, and client requirements. The role involves conducting inspections, material testing, and reviewing documentation to ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:For Civil QC:Inspect ongoing civil works such as RCC, brickwork, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards.Verify formwork, rebar, concrete mix, and curing processes.Monitor third-party testing of materials like cement, sand, aggregates, bricks, and concrete.Ensure proper documentation of material approvals, inspection requests (IRs), and non-conformance reports (NCRs).For MEP QC:Inspect installation of HVAC, electrical panels, plumbing systems, fire-fighting, and other MEP services.Verify testing and commissioning of MEP systems as per design and safety standards.Ensure correct routing, cable management, pipe sizing, insulation, and earthing practices are followed.Check and verify materials as per approved make and technical submittals.Common QC Duties:Coordinate with contractors and consultants for inspections and approvals.Maintain and update quality checklists, logs, and QA/QC reports.Issue NCRs and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Support internal and third-party audits and ensure timely closure of observations.Train site staff and workers on quality best practices and specifications.Key Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of IS codes, NBC, and standard construction & MEP practices.Familiar with quality tools and procedures such as checklists, WIR, MIR, NCR, RFI, etc.Proficient in reading civil/MEP drawings and specifications.Hands-on experience in site inspections and lab/field testing.Good communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.Preferred Background:Real Estate Projects (Residential, Commercial, Mixed-use)Infrastructure (Hospitals, Hotels, Factories, Malls)MEP Contracting Firms or PMC.

Technical and design knowledge preferable with latest methodologies.Responsibilities and DutiesDesign Engineering, PMC & Evaluation of Plumbing, Fire fighting, Drainage and Sanitation systems for commercial, residential and industrial projects.Site visit to get the complete idea of the project.Coordinating with clients, Architects, Vendors to get complete details for the project.Designing the plumbing, firefighting, layout for the given project and coordination with electrical design.Review claims, MEP variations, Testing and Commissioning process and preparation and review of monthly invoices for client and subcontractors.Designing the piping, duct layouts etc.Preparation of the detail BOQ as per the drawings.Qualifications and SkillsBE/Diploma (Civil & Mechanical).Past work experience in MEP, Plumbing, Fire fighting & Drainage system is essential.Able to deliver within time lines and with minimum supervision/check/controls.Sound PC skills at MS Office.AutoCad & Vendor knowledge is essential.
