Preparation of Monthly Management Account Schedules and reconciling same with Trial balance and other financial reporting tools.Preparation and reconciliation of the monthly income/expenses schedules to identify income/expenses to be included in the monthly management accounts. Updating and analysis of the monthly expenditure schedules to identify accrual and prepayments to be included in the monthly management accounts. Performing reconciliations of selected ledger accounts on a monthly basis and ensure that cost are being recorded in right cost centers Control over GL reporting and its analysisDesign/redesign business/accounting process to achieve cost and revenue at lowest level in business and get all stakeholders agreed for same. Handling of large data base in excel/access and prepare reports based on complex logic. Discussion on reported cost/issues with management or relevant people and understand the reasons thereof. Formalize the structure for the reports and system through which data has to be analyzedCreation of systems for automated report generation and ensuring that scheduled reports are released on time. Maintaining Cost Accounting System. Collect and organize cost information into a database of expenses Construct systems to accumulate and monitor data Determine and calculate formulas for fixed and variable costs, such as rent, insurance, and monthly purchases Plan budgets and prepare reports for multiple departments within a company Review receipts and compare with actual charges to detect inaccuracies Project profit margins for upcoming quarters and analyse trends of highs and lows Prepare cost forecasts for monthly, quarterly, or annual operating schedules Analyse month-end and year-end reports to identify and recommend cost-effective improvements.Desired Candidate Profile Demonstrated understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Fresher to 2 years of work experience as a cost accountant, analyst, or other relevant role In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and best practices Familiarity with accounting software programs, Computer literacy skills, especially with MS Excel and basic data entry and computation Analytical skills with a keen sense of organization and detail Proven time management skills and ability to work under strict deadlines Respect for confidentiality of information laws and local ethics Expertise in activity-based costing for fixed and variable costs in relation to the overall direct cost of a line of products.
