Core ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of a Civil Supervisor are heavily focused on practical, on-the-ground management and control:1. Site Management and ExecutionWork Direction: Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers, sub-contractors, and laborers.Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure all work is executed as designed.Material Management: Organize, monitor, and ensure the proper storage and usage of construction materials and equipment on site to minimize waste.Scheduling: Ensure daily and weekly construction schedules are adhered to and report any potential delays to the Project or Site Engineer.2. Quality and Safety ComplianceQuality Control (QC): Constantly check the quality of workmanship, materials, and measurements (levels, dimensions, alignment) to meet the required standards and specifications.Safety Enforcement: Enforce site safety regulations, conduct regular safety briefings (Toolbox Talks), and ensure all personnel use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Problem Resolution: Act as the first point of contact to address minor technical or logistical problems that arise on the site.3. Coordination and ReportingLabor Management: Track labor attendance, manage daily task assignments, and ensure efficient deployment of manpower.Documentation: Maintain daily site reports, log book entries, material receipts, and records of work completed.Liaison: Coordinate with the Site Engineer, Quality Surveyor, and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and material supply.
