job summary:
the modern trade executive will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with modern retail outlets (., large format stores, hypermarkets, supermarkets, departmental stores) to achieve sales targets and enhance brand visibility. this role requires a strong understanding of modern trade dynamics, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a passion for the footwear industry.
key responsibilities:
�� sales & business development:
o achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the modern trade channel.
o identify and develop new modern trade accounts.
o conduct regular market visits to understand consumer trends, competitor activities, and identify opportunities for growth.
o develop and implement effective sales strategies and promotional activities to drive sales in modern trade outlets.
�� relationship management:
o build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at modern trade outlets.
o negotiate and finalize trade agreements, including pricing, promotions, and shelf space.
o address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by retailers promptly.
o ensure timely and effective communication with retail partners.
�� merchandising & visibility:
o ensure proper product placement and display in modern trade outlets to maximize visibility.
o implement and monitor merchandising standards and guidelines.
o coordinate with retailers to execute promotional activities and in-store displays.
o monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid stock-outs.
�� data analysis & reporting:
o track and analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activities.
o prepare regular sales reports and provide insights to management.
o monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of promotional activities.
o maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions.
