job summary
the electrical engineer is responsible for designing, developing, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. the role involves planning and executing electrical projects, troubleshooting technical issues, adhering to industry standards, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to support organizational requirements.

1. design & development
design electrical circuits, systems, panels, and components aligned with project requirements.
prepare electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams (sld), and technical specifications.
conduct feasibility studies and electrical load calculations for projects.
develop cost estimates, project proposals, and equipment selection reports.
2. installation, testing & commissioning
supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
ensure correct functioning of power distribution, lighting, control systems, and machinery.
perform functional tests, measurement, calibration, and performance validation.
3. maintenance & troubleshooting
conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure continuity.
diagnose electrical faults and ensure timely resolution adhering to safety standards.
monitor equipment performance and implement improvement measures for system efficiency.
4. safety & compliance
ensure compliance with industry standards (iec/ieee/nec/is) and electrical safety regulations.
conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and ensure safe working practices.
prepare documentation for inspections, permits, and regulatory approvals.
5. project management & coordination
plan, schedule, and execute electrical engineering projects within budget and timeline.
coordinate with vendors, contractors, consultants, and internal teams for project execution.
maintain accurate documentation including reports, manuals, checklists, and work logs.
6. continuous improvement & innovation
identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, automation, and system reliability.
research new technologies and provide input on upgrades and modernization.

strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems
proficiency in electrical drawing and design tools (autocad, eplan, etc.)
troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
knowledge of plc/scada, industrial automation (optional based on role)
project planning, documentation, and reporting ability
strong communication, teamwork, and time management

education: diploma / bachelorโs degree in electrical engineering (/)
experience: 0โ6 years in electrical design, maintenance, or project engineering
certifications (preferred):
electrical safety certification
plc/scada, automation courses
energy management or related certifications
