As an Academic Counsellor, you will play a crucial role in guiding students towards their educational goals. Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting Counselling Sessions: Engage with students to understand their academic needs and aspirations, providing tailored advice on course selection and career paths.

- Building Relationships: Establish strong connections with students, parents, and faculty to create a supportive academic environment that encourages student growth and success.

- Monitoring Student Progress: Regularly track and assess student performance and satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement and providing interventions as necessary.

- Organizing Workshops and Events: Plan and facilitate workshops, seminars, and informational sessions that enhance the academic experience and provide valuable information to students.

- Assisting with Enrollment Processes: Guide students through the enrollment process, helping them understand admission requirements and helping with application submission.

- Staying Updated on Educational Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends in education and career opportunities to provide the most relevant advice to students.

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with students and stakeholders. You should demonstrate empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in helping others. An understanding of academic programs and career counseling techniques is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or a related field will be an asset, along with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Prior experience is not mandatory but is advantageous.
