Job Overview:We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Steward to join our microbrewery taproom team. The ideal candidate is passionate about craft beer, food service, and creating memorable guest experiences. As a Steward, you will be responsible for serving guests, guiding them through our food and beverage selections, and ensuring top-notch hospitality.Key Responsibilities:Guest Service: Greet and seat guests, take orders, and provide recommendations on food and craft beer pairings.Beer Knowledge: Educate guests about our beer selection, brewing process, and flavour profiles to enhance their experience.Order Management: Accurately relay orders to the bar and kitchen, ensuring timely service.Serving & Presentation: Serve beer and food following proper pouring and presentation standards.Upselling: Suggest additional menu items and promotions to enhance the guest experience.Cleanliness & Organisation: Maintain a clean and organised taproom, including tables, bar areas, and service stations.Payment Processing: Handle cash and card transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Customer Engagement: Build rapport with guests, handle inquiries, and resolve any concerns professionally.Compliance & Safety: Follow all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations, ensuring responsible beverage service.Qualifications & Skills:Prior experience as a waiter, bartender, or server in a brewery, bar, or restaurant is preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently.Basic math skills for handling transactions and billing.Team player with a positive attitude and customer-first approach.Must meet the legal age requirement for serving alcohol in the location of employment.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
