Undertake design project from concept to completion. Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans. Set costs and project fees according to budget. Research and decide on materials and products sourcing. Produce sample and mood products. Supervise work progress. Coordinate with various Consultants (MEP, Structures etc) and Contractor. Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practises. Source products, e.g. fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration and dressing, and provide samples for clients. Make presentations of concepts to be used in the project, structures, interiors, setting project schedule, estimates, BOQ, design concepts, lay outing. Prepare detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, often using computer-aided design (cad) software.
