Duties and responsibilitiesPrincipal responsibilities for the position include the following. Other duties may beassigned as necessary.Design 3D models of orthopedic implants and instrumentation based onengineer/surgeon-provided design inputsGenerate initial surgical plans via placement of implants and or guides within 3Dreconstruction of patient following specified design operating proceduresManage case workload assigned by senior team membersComply with documented quality system design proceduresAssist in quality documentation including generation of engineering drawings, inspectionrequirements, and other required formsQualifications and experienceExperience working with medical imaging (MRI/CT Scans)Experience with image segmentation using MimicsExperience with 3D CAD software (e.g., Solidworks)Mesh-based modeler a plus (e.g., Meshmixer)Experience with design for manufacturing principles for additive manufacturingMedical anatomy and terminologyExperience working within a quality management system strongly preferredEducation:Associates degreein a science, technology, engineering, or related field (relevant jobexperience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree with high school diploma orGED)
