Design Engineer - Full Time

Duties and responsibilities

 

Principal responsibilities for the position include the following. Other duties may be

assigned as necessary.

Design 3D models of orthopedic implants and instrumentation based on

engineer/surgeon-provided design inputs

Generate initial surgical plans via placement of implants and or guides within 3D

reconstruction of patient following specified design operating procedures

Manage case workload assigned by senior team members

Comply with documented quality system design procedures

Assist in quality documentation including generation of engineering drawings, inspection

requirements, and other required forms

Qualifications and experience

 

Experience working with medical imaging (MRI/CT Scans)

Experience with image segmentation using Mimics

Experience with 3D CAD software (., Solidworks)

Mesh-based modeler a plus (., Meshmixer)

Experience with design for manufacturing principles for additive manufacturing

Medical anatomy and terminology

Experience working within a quality management system strongly preferred

Education:

Associate€™s degree in a science, technology, engineering, or related field (relevant job

experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree with high school diploma or

GED)
