The role involves monitoring and maintaining metallurgical lab functions, driving supplier process development, implementing new technologies, and ensuring accurate, reliable testing outcomes. This position requires close interaction with customers, handling audits/complaints, and contributing to new product development with a focus on metallurgical excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee all laboratory operations including raw material inspection, spectrometer analysis, and microstructure evaluation.Drive supplier development and ensure compliance with customer requirements.Implement reliable testing systems and adopt new metallurgical technologies.Support new product development projects and manage PPAP documentation.Ensure accuracy of results through internal checks and NABL lab validation.Manage manpower planning, training, and workload distribution.Lead process, quality, and customer audits; ensure IATF 16949 compliance.Collaborate with suppliers and purchase teams on raw material quality.Promote zero-accident culture and implement 5S best practices.Industry BackgroundCandidates with experience in iron, steel, aluminum, or other alloy foundries are encouraged to apply. Job Title: DCS OfficerDepartment: Production/OperationsLocation: SolapurReports To: Circuit In-Charge / Production In-ChargeJob Summary:The DCS Officer will be responsible for operating and monitoring the Distributed Control System (DCS) to ensure smooth and safe plant operations. The role requires a thorough understanding of process control, operational parameters, and emergency handling procedures to achieve production targets efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:-Operate and monitor the YOKOGAWA DCS system for daily production and process control.-Ensure smooth operation of circuits to meet company objectives and production targets.-Monitor and control process parameters such as flow rates, pressures, temperatures, and levels using DCS displays, graphics, and trend logs.-Identify process deviations and propose corrective actions in consultation with the Circuit In-Charge.-Execute and oversee start-up and shutdown activities, ensuring adherence to SOPs and safety protocols.-Handle emergency situations efficiently by implementing approved procedures and emergency response actions.-Make minor plant adjustments and immediately report significant faults to the Shift In-Charge with suggested remedial actions.-Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) to implement remedial measures as necessary.-Maintain operational data in logbooks and update records in ERP/shared excel sheets.-Prepare and submit daily shift reports with accurate process data.-Complete routine equipment checklists and registers.-Ensure timely reporting of abnormalities in ERP/shared excel and communicate with relevant teams.-Coordinate with instrumentation, engineering, and utilities (boiler, chilling, brine, scrubber, etc.) teams for troubleshooting.-Monitor and control temperature, level, and pressure in tank farms and day tanks of key materials.-Operate as per the Alarm Management System and review it regularly for necessary updates.
