SolidWorks & Machine Design- Create 3D models and detailed assemblies of CNC machine components such as frames, spindles, tooling, fixtures, guides, shafts, and housings.- Prepare manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, fits, and surface-finish requirements.- Ensure proper fit, form, function, clearances, and assembly. Design for Manufacturability- Design components considering CNC milling, turning, drilling, tapping, grinding, and other machining processes.- Apply practical knowledge of tolerances, limits & fits, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up.- Understand the practical use of plug gauges, ring gauges, bore gauges, micrometers, verniers, etc.- Coordinate with CNC programmers, machinists, production, and inspection teams to resolve manufacturability issues. Prototyping & Production Support- Support prototype development, testing, assembly, and production.- Analyze manufacturing and assembly issues and implement effective design improvements.- Focus on improving machine performance, accuracy, reliability, manufacturability, and cost. Problem Solving- Strong mechanical problem-solving and engineering skills.- Ability to develop practical solutions to design and manufacturing challenges.- Stay updated with SolidWorks and CNC machining technologies.
