Key Responsibilities: L2 Troubleshooting: Provide Level 2 support for network incidents, focusing on switches, routers, and firewalls. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues escalated from the L1 support team. Device Management: Perform physical replacement of network devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls. Ensure minimal downtime during device swaps. Network Monitoring: Monitor network performance and health using various network management tools. Identify and address potential issues before they impact network performance. Configuration Management: Assist in the configuration and deployment of network devices. Ensure configurations are consistent with network policies and best practices. Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations, incidents, and procedures. Contribute to knowledge base articles for common issues and their resolutions. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and infrastructure teams, to ensure network stability and performance. Vendor Management: Coordinate with hardware vendors for device replacements, firmware upgrades, and other hardware-related issues. Training and Support: Provide guidance and training to L1 support team members. Assist in the development of training materials for new network devices and procedures.Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in network support, with a focus on L2 troubleshooting of switches, routers, and firewalls. Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent are preferred.
