Our children homes host children below 18 in need of protection.Female candidates only.Candidates from Tiruvannamalai and Salem Dist.s preferred.Location (1): Salem, Tamil Nadu, IndiaLocation (2): Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, IndiaFull-time, residential job.Start: immediateThe social worker will be in charge of the home project and will live inside the house.Main responsibilities:- Updating invidual children files with necessary documents, updating children admission register, etc;- Tracking all the house expenses and following administrative procedures;- Coordinating and overviewing the work of the house staff;- Guarantee that safety and best interest of the children are ensured in all project activities;- Reporting to finance department and Program Director about the state of the project activities.Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:- Education: social works/psychology/ counselling;- 1 or 2 years of experience in ngo/no-profit work;- Knowledge of child-protection system and regulations preferred;- Good level of English;- Mother-tongue knowledge of Tamil;- Commitment to TDH Core Vision, Mission and Values;- Keen interest in working with children.
