Residential Social Worker

We are looking for 2 residential social workerS to employ in our children homes in Tiruvannamalai and Salem. Our children homes host children below 18 in need of protection.

Female candidates only.

Candidates from Tiruvannamalai and Salem preferred.

Location (1): Salem, Tamil Nadu, India

Location (2): Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, India

Full-time, residential job.

Start: immediate

The social worker will be in charge of the home project and will live inside the house.

Main responsibilities:

- Updating invidual children files with necessary documents, updating children admission register, etc;

- Tracking all the house expenses and following administrative procedures;

- Coordinating and overviewing the work of the house staff;

- Guarantee that safety and best interest of the children are ensured in all project activities;

- Reporting to finance department and Program Director about the state of the project activities.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

- Education: social works/psychology/ counselling;

- 1 or 2 years of experience in ngo/no-profit work;

- Knowledge of child-protection system and regulations preferred;

- Good level of English;

- Mother-tongue knowledge of Tamil;

- Commitment to TDH Core Vision, Mission and Values;

- Keen interest in working with children.
