A service technician installs, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots machinery, equipment, or systems. They are responsible for diagnosing malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance, and providing excellent customer support to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.Responsibilities Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Inspect equipment, run diagnostic tests, and interpret results to identify the root cause of malfunctions.Repairs & Maintenance: Repair faulty hardware, replace damaged components, and perform routine preventative maintenance.Installation & Setup: Assemble, install, and test new hardware or systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.Customer Support: Interact with clients to explain issues, provide technical training, and recommend necessary repairs or part replacements.Qualifications Education: A high school diploma is the minimum requirement. Vocational/trade school certifications, an ITI diploma, or an associate's/bachelor's degree in engineering, electronics, or a related field are highly preferred.Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems depending on the industry. Ability to read blueprints, circuit diagrams, and repair manuals.Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent time management, and clear communication skills to deal with clients.
