Key Responsibilities and DutiesThis role requires a blend of hands-on testing and process-level assurance.I. Quality Planning & StrategyDevelop Test Plans: Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test scripts based on product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.Methodology Alignment: Ensure that testing processes align with the company's development framework (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).Test Environment Setup: Coordinate with DevOps/IT teams to set up and maintain necessary test environments and data.II. Execution, Analysis, and ReportingTest Execution: Execute various types of testing, including:Functional Testing: System, Integration, and Regression testing to ensure features work as intended.Non-Functional Testing: Basic Performance, Load, and Security testing as required.Defect Management:Accurately identify, document, and report software defects (bugs) using a Defect Tracking Tool (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for critical defects and provide initial analysis to development teams for resolution.Track defects through the full lifecycle until they are resolved and verified.Reporting: Prepare and communicate comprehensive quality reports, test summaries, and project status updates to project managers and stakeholders, highlighting risks and progress.III. Quality Assurance & Process ImprovementProcess Audit: Participate in project planning and review meetings (like defect triage) to ensure quality is addressed early in the development cycle.Automation (Optional but Valued): Where applicable, contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts using relevant tools to improve efficiency, particularly for regression testing.Compliance: Ensure all testing activities and products comply with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, diligent, and committed to driving a culture of quality throughout the organization.ResponsibilitiesQuality Inspection & Control:Perform regular inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products/services to ensure they meet specified quality standards and customer requirements.Conduct various tests (e.g., visual, dimensional, functional) using appropriate tools and equipment.Identify and document non-conforming products or processes, initiating corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) as needed.Monitor critical control points in the production or service delivery process.Quality Assurance System Support:Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) (e.g., ISO 9001, industry-specific standards).Contribute to the development and revision of quality control procedures, work instructions, and checklists.Help conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.Data Analysis & Reporting:Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data (e.g., defect rates, rejection rates, customer complaints).Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques where applicable.Problem Solving & Improvement:Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues and contribute to the development of effective solutions.Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to implement quality improvement initiatives.Monitor the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.Documentation & Training:Maintain accurate and organized quality records, inspection logs, and documentation.Assist in training production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.Compliance:Ensure all quality activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.

Responsibilities:Quality Inspection & Testing:Perform thorough quality inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods as per established Quality Control Plans and specifications.Conduct various tests (e.g., dimensional checks, functional tests, visual inspections) using appropriate inspection tools and equipment (e.g., Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM, software testing tools).Verify product/service against drawings, specifications, and quality checklists.Defect Identification & Reporting:Identify, categorize, and document any defects, non-conformities, or deviations from quality standards.Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure proper containment of defective materials/products.Report critical quality issues immediately to the supervisor and relevant departments.Documentation & Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and organized records of all quality inspections, test results, non-conformities, and corrective actions taken.Prepare daily/weekly/monthly quality reports, summaries, and trend analyses.Ensure all quality documentation is up-to-date and easily retrievable.Standard Adherence & Compliance:Ensure strict adherence to company quality management system (QMS) procedures, work instructions, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, industry-specific standards like IATF 16949, ISO 13485, or GMP, depending on the sector).Assist in maintaining compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.Root Cause Analysis Support:Support the QA/Production team in investigating the root causes of quality issues, customer complaints, and recurring defects.Assist in implementing and verifying corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Process Monitoring:Monitor production processes and operational steps to ensure quality parameters are being met at each stage.Provide feedback to production personnel on quality concerns and best practices.Equipment Management Support:Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection, measuring, and test equipment (IMTE).Continuous Improvement Contribution:Participate in and support quality improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, 5S, Kaizen, Poke-Yoke) to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and reduce waste.Safety & Housekeeping:Adhere to all workplace safety protocols and maintain good housekeeping practices in the inspection areas.Communication (Local Emphasis):Communicate clearly and effectively with production teams, supervisors, and other internal departments regarding quality issues and requirements.Fluency in Marathi and Hindi is essential for effective interaction with shop-floor staff and local vendors. Good English proficiency is required for documentation, understanding specifications, and interaction with senior management.
