Key ResponsibilitiesGenerator Maintenance Execute routine testing, including regular load bank testing and battery checks. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults on diesel/gas generators and alternators. Manage fuel systems, oil changes, filter replacements, and coolant levels. Oversee synchronisation panels and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).Electrical Equipment Maintenance Maintain high-voltage and low-voltage distribution boards, switchgear, and transformers. Inspect Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and central battery banks regularly. Calibrate electrical protection relays, circuit breakers, and motor control centres (MCC). Diagnose electrical failures using multimeters, infrared thermography, and insulation testers. Compliance & Safety Enforce strict Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during all maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with national electrical codes, local regulations, and safety standards. Maintain accurate logs of maintenance schedules, equipment failures, and repair costs.
