- Review architectural and structural drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications, and ensure alignment with project requirements.- Conduct site investigations, analyze survey reports, maps, soil tests, and geotechnical data, and carry out feasibility studies- Prepare detailed design plans, profiles, and specifications for construction components (foundations, drainage, utilities, etc.- Estimate project costs: materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs- Monitor expenditures and ensure that construction stays within the approved budget.- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or safety.- Oversee day-to-day construction activities on site to ensure work is done as per plans and specifications- Conduct regular inspections of work (excavation, formwork, reinforcement, concreting) and verify quality of materials- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to synchronize work and resolve site-level issues.- Implement quality control tests for construction materials (concrete, steel, soil, etc.) and ensure they meet required standards.- Approve work at different stages (e.g., after reinforcement, before concreting) before moving to the next step.- Ensure all construction activities comply with statutory regulations, building codes, and safety standards.- Prepare, maintain, and manage project documentation: daily site reports, progress reports, inspection logs, change-orders, as-built drawings- Generate technical reports, correspondence, and documentation required for senior management, clients, and regulatory bodies.- Liaise with architects, structural engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent is maintained.- Act as the technical point of contact for site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.- Communicate project status, risks, and challenges to project managers and higher-level stakeholders.- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise during construction to avoid delays.- Adapt project plans based on site conditions or unexpected changes.
