As a Process Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and improving processes to enhance productivity and efficiency. Key ResponsibilitiesConceptualization: Translating customer requirements or market gaps into initial design sketches and technical specifications.3D Modeling & Drafting: Using advanced CAD software to create detailed 3D parts and assemblies, ensuring proper fit, clearance, and tolerances.Material Selection: Researching and selecting the best materials (plastics, metals, composites) based on strength, weight, heat resistance, and cost.Prototyping & Testing: Overseeing the creation of physical prototypes (using 3D printing or CNC machining) and conducting rigorous Failure Mode testing.DFM/DFA Implementation: Applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to ensure the product is easy and affordable to produce.Vendor Coordination: Working with mold makers, tool rooms, and electronic component suppliers to ensure design intent is maintained during tooling.
