As an Assistant Accountant in the logistics industry, you will provide support to the accounting department in various financial tasks and processes. Your role will involve assisting with financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial data to support the company's financial operations.Responsibilities:Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, billing, and collections.Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a regular basis.Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions in the accounting system.Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities by providing financial data and analysis.Prepare and submit tax returns, including sales tax, VAT, and payroll taxes, in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Assist with audit and tax preparation activities by providing supporting documentation and information.Provide support to other departments on financial matters and queries as needed.Contribute to process improvements and initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
