Job ResponsibilitiesCompletes a daily 'one-on-one' with each ASM to stay abreast of potential service issues and status of clientsCoordinates automotive repair and maintenance services to obtain maximum utilization of technicians, automotive equipment and parts resources to prevent operational delays in other departmentsTrains service members in the skills necessary in performance of their dutiesWorks with Service Manager to set sales and gross objectivesRecruits, interviews, and trains new service members in cooperation with HRProvides material necessary to sell serviceMaintains daily sales and production records as prescribed by dealership managementReviews and evaluates the sales performance of service sales members, ensuring that proper sales techniques are usedDetermines and staff technical teams relative to production requirements, ensuring expertise of members to be adequateRemains current on product changes and new productsMaintains the Service Department within the financial parameters set by managementAssures the proper repair order flow for maximum productivityMonitors and controls all warranty activity and assures compliance with warranty policies and proceduresMaintains strict adherence to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operationAdministrates payroll for the service members in cooperation with payroll, securing approval from the Service Director and the General Manager of the dealershipEnforces OSHA requirements, procedures, and regulationsConducts performance evaluationsParticipates in operational planningMaintains the facility and equipment, providing for repairs and maintenance where necessaryConducts weekly department meetings Attends weekly manager meetings
