The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting, labeling, and processing blood and other specimen samples from patients in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. This role ensures high standards of patient care, maintains sample integrity, and supports the laboratory team in diagnostic testing procedures.Key Responsibilities:Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using appropriate techniques and equipment.Verify patient identity and ensure accurate labeling of all specimens.Prepare, handle, and transport specimens according to established protocols and safety regulations.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the phlebotomy area and equipment.Record and document all collections in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.Communicate effectively with patients to ease discomfort and ensure a positive experience.Adhere to infection control and safety procedures at all times.Collaborate with laboratory staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow.Report any issues or incidents promptly to the supervisor.
