Role PurposeThe Engineer will be responsible for electrical system design, equipment selection, technical proposal preparation, and coordination with vendors and clients for projects in process industries such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, selection, and engineering of electrical systems and equipment, including:Medium Voltage (MV) switchgearLow Voltage (LV) switchgear and panelsPower and distribution transformersE-House / SubstationsPower and control cablesBatteries and battery chargersUninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systemsSelection and specification of switchgear components, such as:VCB, ACB, MCCB, MCB, MPCBProtection and control relays (REX relays preferred)Preparation and review of Electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for both MV and LV systemsPreparation of technical offers, including:Bill of Quantities (BOQ)Technical data sheetsDeviation and compliance statementsReview and evaluation of vendor offer for technical compliance with project specificationsDevelopment and understanding of electrical layout drawings, such as:Equipment layoutEarthing and grounding layoutLighting layoutCable sizing and routing layoutsCoordination and effective communication with:Vendors and suppliersClients and consultantsInternal cross-functional teamsIndustry ExperienceStrong knowledge and hands-on experience in Energy Industry, specifically:Oil & GasChemical plantsPharmaceutical facilities(Experience in these industries is preferred)Software SkillsProficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Working knowledge of AutoCAD for drawings and layoutsDesired Skills & CompetenciesStrong technical and analytical skillsGood communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work independently and manage multiple deliverablesAttention to detail and strong documentation skills
