Key Responsibilities1. 2D Drafting, Detailing & Blueprint Creation (Core Duty)Dimensional Detailing: Convert 3D part and assembly models into standardized 2D production drawings, ensuring all necessary orthographic projections, isometric angles, sectional views, and auxiliary views are clearly visible.GD&T Application: Correctly incorporate Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols, surface roughness values, limit fits, and structural annotations as specified by design engineers.Bill of Materials (BOM): Populate part lists, balloons, and material specifications directly on the engineering drawings to match the formal product bill of materials.2. Reverse Engineering & Modification TrackingPhysical Measuring: Use manual inspection instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, thread pitch gauges) to accurately measure physical sample parts on the shop floor and recreate them digitally.Drawing Revisions: Update existing legacy blueprints and process Engineering Change Notes (ECNs) to incorporate changes made during prototype assembly or client feedback.3. Data Integrity & StandardizationStandard Compliance: Ensure all sheets comply strictly with international and corporate drafting standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, or Bureau of Indian Standards).File Cleanliness: Maintain structured drawing scales, layered formats (e.g., separating dimension lines, hidden lines, text layers), and clean drawing title blocks.Performance Metrics (KPIs)First-Time Right (FTR) Blueprinting: Keeping drawing modifications low due to missing dimensions, overlapping texts, or incorrect view orientations.Drafting Speed: Meeting project deadlines for converting complete 3D model structures into detailed 2D packages.Standard Adherence: Maintaining 100% uniformity across layout scales, symbols, and company title block parameters.
