Job Description

Receptionist cum Computer Operator is a multifaceted role that combines front-desk management with administrative data processing tasks, serving as the first point of contact for visitors while ensuring that office computer systems and records are properly maintained. They manage the reception area, greet visitors, handle phone calls, and, in many cases, perform duties like data entry, document creation, and basic troubleshooting.





Core Responsibilities

Front Desk Management (Reception):

Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and guests, directing them to the appropriate person or department.

Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls, as well as take messages.

Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and couriers.

Maintain the security of the reception area by controlling access (visitor logs, badges).

Schedule appointments, meetings, and manage the company calendar.

Computer Operation & Data Processing:

Perform data entry, update databases, and maintain accurate electronic/physical records.

Prepare, format, and edit documents, memos, reports, and presentations using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Operate and maintain office equipment, including printers, scanners, and photocopiers.

Perform regular system backups and basic troubleshooting on hardware and software issues.

Manage correspondence via email and handle inquiries.

Administrative & Office Support:

Maintain inventory of office supplies and place orders when needed.

Assist with basic bookkeeping, such as processing invoices and tracking expenses.

Ensure the confidentiality and security of company data and office records.

Provide support to other departments, such as assisting with HR scheduling or filing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic troubleshooting abilities.
