We are seeking a skilled and experienced Process Engineer to oversee and optimize our metal processes. The ideal candidate will have
a strong background in chemical engineering, metallurgy, and process optimization, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and
environmental compliance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Process Design and Optimization:
Develop and implement efficient hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical processes for zinc and lead extraction.
Conduct process simulations and modeling to optimize production rates and improve product quality.
Evaluate and upgrade existing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
2. Safety and Compliance:
Establish and enforce safety procedures for handling hazardous chemicals and operating equipment.
Ensure all processes comply with environmental regulations and industry standards.
Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential hazards.
3. Process Monitoring and Control:
Monitor and analyze process performance data to identify areas for improvement.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to process equipment and operations.
Implement process control systems to maintain consistent product quality.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process flow diagrams.
Maintain accurate records of process changes, performance metrics, and compliance reports.
Present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
6. Training and Support:
Provide technical support and training to production staff and junior engineers.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field from a good engineering college.
Overall experience of 5-7 years with proven experience in minor metals extraction.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent knowledge of process simulation and process control systems.
Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in the metallurgical industry.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
