Job Description

- oversee the day-to-day operations of the fleet, ensuring that all vehicles are properly maintained and functioning.

- coordinate the scheduling of vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs to minimize downtime.

- develop efficient delivery routes to optimize fuel usage, delivery times, and overall operational costs.

- monitor traffic and weather conditions to adjust delivery schedules in real time.

- supervise and manage a team of drivers, ensuring they adhere to safety standards and company policies.

- provide training for drivers on safe driving practices and regulatory compliance.

- track vehicle performance data (fuel consumption, mileage, etc.) and recommend strategies for improvement.

- oversee the procurement and management of spare parts and vehicle-related supplies.

- coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the timely delivery of required parts or services.

- ensure compliance with local, state, and national transportation regulations.

- maintain accurate and up-to-date records for each vehicle, including insurance, registration, maintenance, and repairs.

- develop and manage the fleet's budget, tracking expenses related to maintenance, repairs, fuel, and other operational costs.

- liaise with clients to address any transportation or delivery-related issues.

- implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks and accidents.

- conduct regular safety audits and ensure that all drivers adhere to the company's safety policies.

- contribute to the long-term strategic planning for fleet expansion, replacement, and optimization.
