job summary:

we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced industrial fitter to join our maintenance team. the

ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance work,

specifically in a metal manufacturing environment. the role involves installation, repair, and

maintenance of industrial equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, furnaces, burners, and other

machinery.

key responsibilities:

- perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment to ensure smooth

operations.

- diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs on pumps, motors, valves, furnaces,

burners, and other factory machinery.

- dismantle and assemble mechanical components for maintenance, repair, and replacement.

- inspect, test, and troubleshoot mechanical systems to enhance operational efficiency.

- work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems.

- ensure proper alignment, balancing, and calibration of rotating equipment.

- follow safety procedures and industry standards while handling heavy machinery and tools.

- assist in equipment installation and commissioning.

- maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

- coordinate with other departments for smooth workflow and minimal downtime.

requirements:

- minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within a metal

manufacturing facility.

- strong knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, furnaces, burners, and related industrial

equipment.

- ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.

- experience with welding, cutting, and fabrication is a plus.

- proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

- strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

- good understanding of workplace safety standards and protocols.

- willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency breakdown.
