identify potential customers: use referrals, networking, and cold calling to find new customers
understand customer needs: listen to customers to understand their logistics and shipping related problems and challenges.
present products: demonstrate services and explain how we can help and add value by increasing efficiencies and improve cost effectiveness in their logistics and supply chain
negotiate: negotiate prices and terms with customers
close sales: overcome objections and secure customer commitment for a long-term association.
follow up: follow up with customers to maintain continuity and ensure satisfaction and address issues if any.
prepare reports: track sales activities and customer interactions, and prepare reports for management
collaborate: work with other departments to ensure a seamless sales process.
this position will be responsible to increase revenue and profitability through the acquisition of new accounts and selling additional services to an existing customer base.
should be a self-starter with leadership qualities and comfortable being part of a smaller team, enthusiastic about contributing to the growth of the company and most important compliance of company procedures and policies.
background in logistics sales and a proven ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships.

prior experience in sales or business development within the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry.
strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

willingness to travel within the assigned territory for client meetings and business development activities.

qualifications & experience:
graduate / postgraduate in logistics, supply chain, engineering, or operations (mba preferred).
13 years of experience in logistics & warehousing,
sound understanding of cost control, budgeting, manpower planning, and commercial terms.
