An Air Ticketing Executive is responsible for booking airline tickets, managing reservations, handling customer queries, and ensuring smooth travel arrangements. They work with airlines, travel agencies, or airport offices using reservation systems.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
1. Ticket Booking & Reservations
Book domestic and international flight tickets for customers
Check seat availability, fares, and schedules
Issue, reissue, and cancel tickets as per customer requests
2. Customer Service
Assist customers with travel queries (routes, baggage, visa basics)
Provide best fare options and travel solutions
Handle complaints and resolve booking issues professionally
3. Fare Calculation & Pricing
Calculate ticket costs, discounts, and taxes
Inform customers about promotional offers and deals
Ensure accurate billing and payment processing
4. Documentation & Compliance
Verify passenger details (name, ID, passport)
Ensure compliance with airline and government regulations
Maintain records of bookings and transactions
5. Use of Reservation Systems
Operate Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as:
Amadeus GDS
Sabre GDS
Galileo GDS

🎓 Educational Qualification
Minimum: 10+2 (Higher Secondary)
Preferred: Graduate in any stream
Certification in Air Ticketing / Travel & Tourism is an advantage
💼 Experience
Fresher or 0-2 years experience in ticketing/travel agency
Experience with GDS systems is highly preferred
