Job Summary:
The Air Ticketing Officer is responsible for handling flight reservations, ticket issuance, cancellations, modifications, refunds, and customer queries. The role requires good knowledge of airline schedules, fares, reservation systems, and travel procedures while providing efficient customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Handle domestic and international flight reservations.
Check airline schedules, availability, fares, and seat inventory.
Create and manage passenger PNRs (Passenger Name Records).
Issue, reissue, and cancel airline tickets.
Process ticket changes, refunds, cancellations, and date modifications according to airline policies.
Explain airfare rules, baggage allowances, cancellation charges, and other ticket conditions to customers.
Handle customer enquiries through telephone, email, and in-person communication.
Coordinate with airlines, travel agencies, and other service providers when required.
Maintain accurate passenger and booking records.
Assist customers with special requests, such as meal preferences, wheelchair assistance, and seat selection.
Verify passenger details and travel documents before ticket issuance.
Prepare daily ticketing and sales reports.
Follow airline and company policies regarding ticketing, payments, refunds, and cancellations.
Support customers in handling flight delays, rescheduling, and other travel-related issues.
