An Air Cargo Executive is responsible for handling, processing, documenting, and coordinating air freight shipments. The role involves managing cargo bookings, cargo acceptance, documentation verification, warehouse operations, shipment tracking, and ensuring compliance with aviation safety and security regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Cargo Acceptance & Handling
Receive cargo shipments from customers, freight forwarders, and logistics companies.
Verify cargo weight, dimensions, packaging, and labeling.
Inspect shipments for damage or prohibited items.
Ensure proper cargo handling according to airline and airport regulations.
Coordinate loading and unloading of cargo aircraft.
Documentation Management
Prepare and verify Air Way Bills (AWB).
Process shipping documents, invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
Maintain accurate cargo records and shipment information.
Ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
Cargo Operations
Monitor cargo movement from acceptance to final delivery.
Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and warehouse teams.
Arrange cargo storage and dispatch schedules.
Track shipment status and provide updates to customers.
Warehouse Management
Organize cargo storage areas efficiently.
Maintain inventory records of stored cargo.
Ensure safe handling of perishable, hazardous, and valuable goods.
Follow warehouse safety procedures and security protocols.
Customer Service
Assist customers with cargo booking inquiries.
Provide shipment tracking information.
Resolve customer complaints and shipment issues.
Explain cargo rates, policies, and procedures.
Safety & Compliance
Follow aviation security regulations and airport safety standards.
Ensure compliance with dangerous goods handling procedures.
Adhere to airline and airport operational guidelines.
Participate in security inspections and audits.
Required Qualifications:
10+2 (Higher Secondary) or Graduate in any discipline.
Diploma or certification in Aviation, Logistics, or Cargo Management preferred.
Basic computer knowledge.
Knowledge of cargo documentation and logistics operations is an advantage.

Salary Range (India):
Fresher: ₹20,000 - ₹25,000 per month
Experienced: ₹25,000 - ₹50,000+ per month
Supervisory/Managerial Roles: ₹50,000 - ₹1,00,000+ per month
