job summary:

the admission counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admission process, providing accurate information about academic programs, eligibility, application procedures, and career opportunities. the counsellor plays a crucial role in student acquisition, conversion, and retention, while ensuring a high level of customer service.

key responsibilities:

student counseling:

guide students and parents about courses, colleges, and career options (india & abroad).

assess the students academic background and career goals to provide appropriate guidance.

handle walk-ins, phone inquiries, and online leads effectively.

admission process:

assist students in filling application forms, preparing documents, and meeting admission requirements.

follow up with students for fee submission and documentation.

coordinate with colleges/universities for seat confirmation and admission updates.

lead management & conversion:

manage and update lead databases (crm tools).

follow up with leads via phone, whatsapp, email, or in-person meetings.

achieve admission targets and contribute to business growth.

relationship management:

build rapport with students and parents.

liaise with university representatives and maintain updated knowledge of admission policies and deadlines.

marketing support:

participate in educational fairs, seminars, webinars, and school visits.

support in creating and distributing promotional materials and campaigns.

key skills & competencies:

excellent communication and interpersonal skills

strong persuasive and negotiation skills

good organizational and time-management abilities

ability to work under pressure and achieve targets

knowledge of education systems in india and/or abroad is a plus

proficiency in ms office, crm tools, and email communication

qualifications:

bachelors degree (education, counseling, marketing, or related field preferred)
