As an OSS Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting and improving operations support systems. Your main responsibilities will include:- **System Design and Implementation**: Work on designing and implementing OSS solutions that meet the needs of the organization, ensuring they are efficient and scalable.- **Performance Monitoring**: Regularly monitor system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, ensuring that all systems run smoothly and efficiently.- **Troubleshooting Issues**: Investigate and resolve any technical issues in OSS applications, collaborating with other teams to find effective solutions promptly.- **Documentation**: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system processes, configurations, and updates, making it easier for team members to understand and manage the OSS environment.- **Collaboration**: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers and network engineers, to ensure seamless integration and operation of all systems.To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and possess strong experience of 3 to 4 years in OSS engineering. You should have proficiency in OSS tools and platforms, a solid understanding of network architecture, and strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a team setting. You should be detail-oriented and passionate about optimizing and enhancing system performance to support organizational goals.

Objective of the roleResponsible for deploying and supporting the product/CRs at customer environment.Managing the tickets from customer adhering to SLAJob Responsibilities/TasksInstallation of product/solution and its dependencies on serversFollowing up with customer points of contact for various aspects.Integration of product with various external entities and readiness of the solution.End to end system testing before handing over system to customer for user acceptance testing.Driving the UAT with end customer(s) from support perspectiveLaunch and post-go live management of the product, including Monitoring and automation of various jobsSkillsVery good knowledge on Unix and Shell scripting1 to 3 years of experience with Telecom BSS/OSS solution in prior with at least two customers with/without onsite presence.Good knowledge on RDBMS concepts and Oracle QueriesPreferred knowledge on Hadoop/HBase/PostGreSQLExtensive experience of systems development including involvement in all major stages of software development projects.Good Knowledge and appreciation of systems development lifecycles and methodologies.Well established communication, presentation, motivational and inter-personal skills associated with person-management abilities.Thorough understanding, appreciation and analysis of the issues underlying systems development.Experience of the technical aspects of the relevant technologies, software and hardware, to be employed.Prior experience in Telecom sources ETL tool experience is preferred.
