We're looking for a Senior Engineer - Cryo Equipment to lead the design, development, and testing of cryogenic fuel tanks and related systems. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the CEO, ideal for an engineer who wants to help build a new business line from the ground up rather than operate within an established one. The role is suited to someone with a strong grounding in cryogenic vessel design, working toward the caliber of engineering seen at specialized cryogenic equipment manufacturers such as CTR Cryo and Cryolor.Key Responsibilities Design and develop cryogenic fuel tanks and related cryogenic equipment - sizing, detailed engineering, and fabrication drawings. Perform thermal analysis, vacuum insulation design, and cryogenic fluid handling calculations to optimize tank performance and heat-leak control. Select and specify accessories including valves, piping, safety relief devices, and insulation systems. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards such as ASME and PED. Liaise with statutory authorities, including PESO, for regulatory approvals of cryogenic equipment. Prepare and implement QA/QC plans, QAP, and ITP documentation for cryogenic vessel manufacturing. Support manufacturing and fabrication teams in translating designs into production, including static, mobile, and storage cryogenic vessels. Troubleshoot design and system-level issues, including field failures and complex cryogenic system problems. Develop and standardize safety protocols for cryogenic tank design, handling, and testing. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, procurement, quality) and support the project from design through commissioning. Identify opportunities for design optimization, cost reduction, and continuous improvement in cryogenic engineering practices.Required Skills & Qualifications Postgraduate or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in cryogenic tank/vessel design (static, mobile, or storage). Working knowledge of PESO approvals and statutory compliance for pressure/cryogenic equipment. Strong understanding of cryogenic fluid handling, vacuum technology, and thermal analysis. Experience with ASME / PED codes and QA/QC documentation (QAP, ITP). Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent). Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system failures. Good communication and stakeholder management skills.About You (Preferred Profile) Ideally brings deep specialization in cryogenic systems for industrial, fuel tank, or aerospace applications, with exposure to standardized safety protocol development and cryogenic tank design optimization for customer-specific applications. Prior experience at a specialized cryogenic equipment company (e.g., CTR Cryo, Cryolor, INOX India/INOXCVA, VRV Asia Pacific, Chart Industries, Linde) is a strong plus. Experience leading or mentoring junior engineers is an advantage, though not required at the 5-year experience level. Familiarity with FEA/simulation tools for thermal and structural analysis.
