✻ SolidWorks & Machine Design
- Create 3D models and detailed assemblies of CNC machine components such as frames, spindles, tooling, fixtures, guides, shafts, and housings.
- Prepare manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, fits, and surface-finish requirements.
- Ensure proper fit, form, function, clearances, and assembly.
✻ Design for Manufacturability
- Design components considering CNC milling, turning, drilling, tapping, grinding, and other machining processes.
- Apply practical knowledge of tolerances, limits & fits, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up.
- Understand the practical use of plug gauges, ring gauges, bore gauges, micrometers, verniers, etc.
- Coordinate with CNC programmers, machinists, production, and inspection teams to resolve manufacturability issues.
✻ Prototyping & Production Support
- Support prototype development, testing, assembly, and production.
- Analyze manufacturing and assembly issues and implement effective design improvements.
- Focus on improving machine performance, accuracy, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
✻ Problem Solving
- Strong mechanical problem-solving and engineering skills.
- Ability to develop practical solutions to design and manufacturing challenges.
- Stay updated with SolidWorks and CNC machining technologies.
