We are now looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Programme Officer. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization's mission to eradicate leprosy and foster inclusion for those affected by it in India. The role (includes but not restricted to) build, strategize, plan, implement, and monitor programs and initiatives aimed at achieving GBL's objectives. This position requires a unique combination of collaboration and networking skills; coordination with stakeholders; capacity building and liaison for advocacy and policy engagement. Important is sensitivity to the subject matter, and a passion for advocating for the cause of leprosy and people affected by leprosy. The Position will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Key Responsibilities:1. Program Development & implementation: Contribute to the design and development of innovative programs and initiatives to combat leprosy effectively and promote inclusion. Coordinate the implementation of programs and projects. Ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and communities, to ensure effective execution. Facilitate capacity-building initiatives for stakeholders, including training workshops, seminars, and knowledge-sharing sessions, to enhance their understanding of leprosy-related issues and promote best practices.2. Networking and Collaboration: Foster partnerships and collaborations with government agencies, NGOs, academic institutions, and other stakeholders to leverage resources, expertise, and opportunities for collective action.3.
