The Senior Accountant in our growing startup, you will play a key role in overseeing the international accounting functions across entities in the UK, USA, and India. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing guidance on various accounting tasks.Key Responsibilities: Report regularly to the Group Financial Controller, providing accurate and timely financial information. Oversee the international accounting functions for entities in the UK, USA, and India. Process internal payroll for small teams ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Approve and review staff expense claims to ensure compliance with company policies. Post relevant journals to ensure financial records are accurate and up to date. Create and manage intercompany recharges, ensuring proper documentation and compliance. Assist in processing bank /credit cards statements and perform reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. Maintain management accounts on a monthly basis, providing insights and reports to senior management. Conduct system training for junior accounting staff to ensure effective use of accounting systems. Assist with the sales and purchase ledger, customers contracts when required, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Complete GST reconciliations and ensure timely submission of GST returns. Complete TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) filings and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Manage and process all freight invoices in accounting systems and follow up with shipping companies for documents when necessary Assist with cash flow forecasting and analysis to support financial decision-making.Requirements Familiarity with international accounting practices across different regions.
