Key ResponsibilitiesTesting & Inspection: Perform Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI/MPT) on various components such as castings, forgings, machined parts, and structural welds using methods like Yoke, Coil, or Bench types (Wet and Dry particle testing).Defect Interpretation: Interpret and evaluate test results based on flux leakage indications. Distinguish between actual relevant defects (cracks, porosity, lack of fusion) and non-relevant indications.Pre & Post-Processing: Ensure proper surface preparation of components prior to testing (cleaning, degreasing). Oversee post-test cleaning, rust prevention, and demagnetization procedures.Equipment Calibration: Regularly set up, calibrate, and check the performance of MPI equipment, UV lights, and magnetic field indicators (Pie gauges) to maintain inspection accuracy.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain meticulous inspection logs. Generate clear, compliant Pass/Fail NDT evaluation reports, accurately marking and segregating defective components.Standards Compliance: Ensure all inspections conform to client blueprints, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and international codes (such as ASME, ASTM, or AWS standards).Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Quality Control Engineers and Production Supervisors to communicate defect patterns, helping to identify root causes in the manufacturing line.

Responsibilities:Inspection & Testing:Conduct thorough quality inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods as per defined specifications, control plans, and sampling procedures.Perform various tests (e.g., dimensional checks, functional tests, visual inspections, destructive/non-destructive tests, as applicable to the product/industry) using appropriate measuring instruments and testing equipment.Operate and maintain quality testing instruments and equipment, ensuring their proper functionality and calibration status.Defect Identification & Reporting:Identify, document, and report any non-conformities, defects, or deviations from quality standards immediately.Segregate non-conforming materials/products and ensure proper tagging and disposition.Generate clear and concise inspection reports and test summaries.Documentation & Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and organized records of all quality inspections, test results, non-conformity reports, and corrective actions.Assist in preparing and updating quality documentation, including inspection checklists, standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality processes, and quality control plans.Standard Adherence & Compliance:Ensure strict adherence to company quality policies, procedures, and relevant industry standards (e.g., basic understanding of ISO 9001 principles, product-specific standards like BIS, etc.).Monitor production processes to ensure that quality parameters are consistently met at various stages.Root Cause Analysis Support:Assist senior QA personnel or engineers in investigating the root causes of quality issues, customer complaints, and recurring defects.Support the implementation and verification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Calibration Support:Support the periodic calibration of inspection and testing equipment, maintaining calibration records, and ensuring the availability of calibrated instruments.Feedback & Communication:Provide timely feedback on quality issues to the Production team, informing them of deviations and assisting in immediate rectification.Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other departmental personnel regarding quality matters.Continuous Improvement:Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, such as 5S, Kaizen, and waste reduction efforts on the shop floor.Safety & Housekeeping:Adhere to all safety regulations and good housekeeping practices in the workplace, especially in testing and inspection areas.Local Communication:Communicate clearly and effectively with the production team, supervisors, and other colleagues. Fluency in Marathi and Hindi is essential for effective interaction on the shop floor. Good English proficiency is required for documentation and technical understanding.
