Process Optimization & Continuous ImprovementDesign, develop, and implement new or improved manufacturing processes and systems to increase efficiency, capacity, and flexibility.Apply continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S) to identify and eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve throughput.Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on production issues, quality defects, and equipment downtime, implementing corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).Analyze production data (KPIs like OEE, cycle time, scrap rate) to monitor performance and identify areas for optimization.2. Production Oversight & Technical SupportOversee daily production operations to ensure adherence to schedules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards.Provide immediate technical support and troubleshooting for production teams to resolve equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and assembly issues.Develop and maintain clear, accurate manufacturing documentation, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and specifications.3. Equipment, Tooling, and LayoutSpecify, justify, procure, and oversee the installation and commissioning of new production equipment, machinery, and tooling.Manage and implement preventative and corrective maintenance programs to ensure asset care and minimize unplanned downtime.Design and optimize facility layouts and workstations to improve workflow, material handling, and ergonomics.4. Quality and ComplianceCollaborate with Quality Assurance to establish and implement robust quality control procedures and inspection methods (e.g., Statistical Process Control - SPC).Ensure all production activities strictly comply with industrial safety regulations, quality standards (e.g., ISO), and environmental requirements.Implement Poka-Yoke (error-proofing) devices and techniques to prevent manufacturing errors.5. Cross-Functional CollaborationLiaise with Design/R&D teams to ensure new products are designed for manufacturability (DFM) and successful transition from prototype to mass production (NPI).Coordinate with Supply Chain and Procurement to address material quality, vendor issues, and supply chain logistics.Train and mentor production staff and technicians on new processes, equipment, and safety protocols.

As a Diploma Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and hands-on assistance in various stages of our operations, which may include production supervision, quality inspection, machine maintenance, or assisting in design and development. You will work closely with senior engineers and technicians to ensure efficient processes, adherence to quality standards, and smooth daily operations. This role is ideal for diploma holders eager to gain practical industry experience and grow their mechanical engineering expertise.ResponsibilitiesOperational Support:Assist in supervising daily production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and production targets.Monitor machine performance, identify minor faults, and support troubleshooting activities.Ensure proper utilization of tools, equipment, and raw materials.Implement and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various tasks.Quality Control & Inspection:Conduct quality checks on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using various measuring instruments (e.g., Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges).Identify and report defects or non-conformities, assisting in initial root cause analysis.Ensure adherence to drawing specifications and quality standards.Maintenance Assistance (if applicable):Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery and equipment.Support the assembly and installation of mechanical components or systems.Maintain records of maintenance activities and spare parts usage.Documentation & Reporting:Accurately record production data, quality inspection results, and maintenance logs.Prepare basic reports on daily activities, production output, and identified issues.Maintain organized technical documents, drawings, and records.Safety & Compliance:Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).Technical Drawing & CAD (if applicable):Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.Assist in making minor modifications to existing drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks - basic level).Team Collaboration:Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, maintenance, and design departments.Actively participate in problem-solving discussions and improvement initiatives.
