Job Summary:The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and performing basic maintenance on Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines (e.g., Lathes, Mills, Grinders, Routers) to produce high-quality metal or plastic components according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Responsibilities:Machine Setup: Load and unload raw materials and finished parts onto the CNC machine. Install and adjust machine tools, jigs, and fixtures.Program Loading & Editing: Load CNC programs into the machine. Make minor edits to programs (e.g., offsets, feed rates, speeds) as necessary to optimize cutting conditions and ensure part quality, under supervision.Operation: Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently according to work instructions, engineering drawings, and production schedules. Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from specifications.Quality Inspection: Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges) to ensure adherence to specified dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes.Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identify and troubleshoot basic machine operating problems (e.g., tool wear, material issues). Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and checking fluid levels.
