Technical ResponsibilitiesAssist in fire assay, XRF testing, and sampling of gold and silver jewellery/articles.Perform sample preparation, melting, cupellation, parting, and weighing as per approved test methods.Ensure duplicate testing and repeat tests when results exceed specified limits.Maintain accuracy of weighing and calculations for fineness determination.Assist in verification of test data before reporting.Quality & ComplianceFollow BIS-approved procedures, SOPs, and Quality Manual requirements.Support Internal Audits, BIS audits, and surveillance audits.Assist in identifying Non-Conformities (NCs) and implementing Corrective / Preventive Actions (CA/PA).Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and security of client samples and data.Equipment & RecordsAssist in daily checks, in-service verification, and calibration status of balances, furnaces, XRF, and other equipment.Maintain accurate records for:SamplingFire assay & XRF testingEquipment logsCalibration & maintenanceEnsure proper identification and traceability of samples throughout testing
