A Packer, or Picker Packer, is a warehouse employee responsible for fulfilling orders by arranging inventory in shipping containers and preparing them for shipment. Their duties include interpreting order invoices to determine which items need to be sent out, performing quality control assessments and stacking items safely and securely in the right packaging.A Packer will have the following duties and responsibilities at their place of work:Weighing packages and labeling them appropriatelyInspecting packages to ensure they are not damagedInspecting shipping containers to ensure they meet shipping regulationsAssembling daily orders by shipping location or any other shipping categoriesKeeping records of packages including delivery notes, invoices, etc.Filling out packing and order forms with the relevant shipping informationSealing shipping containers and labeling them appropriatelyCleaning shipping containers and other shipping suppliesOur Logistics department is in search of a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join us as a Packager. You will be primarily responsible for packaging items for shipments as per the companys standards. Besides, you should also be able to review the shipments and dispose the damaged ones. You should also be able to weigh and label the shipments. You should also enter and review the shipment details. Moreover, you should be able to maintain and update a detailed record of all shipments. You will be responsible for keeping the work area clean and organized at all times. As part of the job role, you should also be able to assist with the loading and unloading of shipments. To be able to perform in this job role, you should be detail-oriented and display excellent physical dexterity. In addition to this, you should be able to display good time management and organizational skills.
