As an Import Manager, you will be responsible for managing the import process from start to finish, including compliance with regulations and procedures, negotiation with suppliers, and coordination with internal teams.Responsibilities:Manage the import process, including identifying and selecting suppliers, negotiating prices and contracts, and ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.Coordinate with internal teams, including logistics, purchasing, and finance, to ensure timely and efficient delivery of imported goods.Monitor and analyze supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality control, and cost-effectiveness, and make recommendations for improvements.Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, including visiting supplier sites, attending trade shows, and networking with industry contacts.Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products, and make recommendations to management for expanding our import portfolio.Manage the import budget, including forecasting costs, tracking expenses, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.Develop and implement import strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs regulations, trade agreements, and licensing requirements.Train and supervise import team members, including providing coaching and feedback to ensure excellent performance and adherence to policies and procedures.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.Minimum of 1 year of experience in import management, including experience with customs regulations and procedures, supplier management, and logistics.Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
