Job Description: Mechanical Design EngineerPosition Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and hands-on experience in sheet metal and weldment design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing designs to meet project specifications and ensure manufacturing feasibility.Roles and Responsibilities:Design and Development:Create detailed 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.Develop and modify sheet metal and weldment components based on project requirements.Ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and safety standards.Technical Documentation:Prepare detailed technical drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and assembly instructions.Maintain accurate design records and revisions for projects.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and procurement, to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.Provide technical support during prototype development and production stages.Quality Assurance:Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.Perform tolerance analysis and ensure dimensional accuracy of components.Problem-Solving:Identify and resolve design challenges during the development process.Implement innovative solutions to improve product performance and reduce manufacturing costs.Software Proficiency:Utilize SolidWorks for parametric modeling, assembliesUse AutoCAD for detailed 2D drafting and layout designs.Continuous Improvement:Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness.Propose and implement improvements in design workflows and processes.Candidate Requirements:Education: Diploma/ Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Experience: 2-3 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong focus on sheet metal
