Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and creative Design Engineer to join our dynamicteam. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative designsolutions that meet customer requirements and adhere to industry standards.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs arefunctional, manufacturable, and meet performance criteria.Key Responsibilities: Design Development:o Create and develop detailed design concepts using CAD software(e.g., Simens NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).o Produce engineering drawings, 3D models, and specifications fornew products or modifications to existing products. Project Support:o Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to defineproject scope, requirements, and deliverables.o Participate in design reviews, providing technical input andinsights to improve product design. Prototyping and Testing:o Work with prototype development teams to create and testphysical models of designs.o Analyze test results and incorporate findings into designrefinements. Documentation and Compliance:o Maintain comprehensive documentation, including designcalculations, specifications, and validation reports.o Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards andregulations throughout the design process. Collaboration:o Coordinate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and sourcingteams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.o Engage with clients or stakeholders to gather feedback andunderstand design requirements. Continuous Improvement:o Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best designpractices.o Identify and suggest improvements to design processes andtools.Qualifications: Education:o Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, ora related field. (Masters degree is a plus.) Experience:o 1+ years of experience in design engineering or a related role.o Demonstrated experience with product design and developmentprocesses. Skills:o Proficiency in CAD software (Simens NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD,Rhino, or similar).o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.o Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.o Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Certifications:o Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant designcertifications are preferred.Working Conditions: Office environment with occasional fieldwork for testing andprototyping. May require overtime during peak project phases.
