A Store Manager in a rotavator and agricultural machinery manufacturing company oversees spare parts inventory, raw material storage, dispatch coordination, and warehouse operations rather than a retail showroom

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Control & Warehousing: Manage stock levels of rotavator components (blades, gearboxes, shafts, fasteners, and sheet metal parts) and finished machinery to prevent overstocking or stockouts.

• Material Receipt & Inspection: Inspect incoming raw materials, vendor supplies, and forged/cast components against purchase orders (POs) and quality standards.

• Issuance & Dispatch: Ensure timely issuance of production materials to the shop floor and coordinate finished rotavator dispatches to dealers and distributors.

• ERP & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate inventory records using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Dealership Management Systems (DMS), recording daily inward, outward, and scrap logs.

• Warehouse Organization: Implement 5S methodology, bin-card systems, and FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or LIFO stock rotation for heavy agricultural parts.

• Vendor & Inter-Department Coordination: Work closely with the purchase, production, and logistics teams to reconcile stock discrepancies and track pending orders.

• Safety & Security: Maintain a safe warehouse environment, oversee material handling equipment (like forklifts or cranes), and implement loss prevention and security audits.

• Team Supervision: Lead, train, and supervise storekeepers, loaders, and helpers.
