a pre-primary teacher's role is to educate and care for children under the age of five, creating a nurturing environment for their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging, age-appropriate activities.

key responsibilities include developing and implementing lesson plans, assessing student progress, fostering creativity and curiosity, maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom, and communicating with parents and other staff

core responsibilities

curriculum & lesson planning:

design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote basic skills in language, math, and social interaction.

classroom management:

create and maintain a safe, clean, healthy, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel secure and supported.

child development:

facilitate activities that encourage social skills, emotional growth, creativity, and physical development.

assessment & progress monitoring:

observe and assess each child's individual progress and development, keeping records and providing feedback.

parent & staff communication:

communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress and needs. collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment.

activity facilitation:

lead children in activities such as storytelling, group play, music, art, and movement to enhance learning and development.

behavioral guidance:

support positive behavior and help children develop independence and social skills.
